The Code Scout 1500 Code Reader is a user friendly, cost efficient, and portable OBD II / EOBD Fault Code Reader.
The Code Scout can retrieve angine-related fault codes on all European-sold 2001 and newer petrol cars. See below for vehicle compatibility information. Supports all EOBD protocols, including the newest CAN language!
Will connect to petrol cars sold within Europe from 1 January 2001 onwards and diesel cars from 1 January 2004 onwatds (no additional accessories required).

and newly released CAN (Controller Area Network)
Retrieves both Generic and Manufacturer specific engine diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)

Displays fault code definitions on-screen (where available) in addition to fault codes
Displays Readiness Test Status for emissions testing
Erase stored codes and monitor status, and turns off "Check Engine" light

This code reader will read/clear codes from EOBD diagnostics systems (this covers engine, powertrain and emissions faults). It will not read/clear codes from other systems, e.g. SRS, ABS or Suspension systems.
